Revolutionizing Airway Health: The Vision Behind The MyoGrow Airway Center
Dr. Shannon Thorsteinson is not only an accomplished dentist but also a visionary who conceived the concept of the MyoGrow Airway Center and brought it into reality. Driven by her passion for helping infants, children, and adults with tethered oral tissue problems, she saw a need for a comprehensive center that could address these issues from multiple angles, including orthodontics, myofunctional therapy, and surgery.
Our goal by treating tethered oral tissues is to help patients breathe, sleep, eat, communicate, and thrive.
With a strong focus on collaboration with other airway health specialists, her commitment to this vision has led to the establishment of the MyoGrow Airway Center, a place where patients can receive personalized care that addresses their unique needs and helps them improve airway health.

From Personal Experience to Professional Passion Meet Dr. Shannon

Dr. Shannon Thorsteinson’s journey into the field of oral restrictions began with a personal experience: her own child’s feeding challenges and speech delays. This experience opened her eyes to the critical importance of early treatment and advocacy, as she worked tirelessly to navigate the often-complicated process of addressing an undiagnosed restriction through therapy and frenectomy. Driven by her desire to help others navigate this complex landscape, she brings a unique blend of empathy and vulnerability to every patient she treats. Through her personal experience, Dr. Shannon has become a passionate advocate for early treatment, and her patients benefit greatly from her expertise and dedication.

At the MyoGrow Airway Center, Dr. Shannon Thorsteinson is dedicated to helping patients improve airway health and quality of life. Her extensive experience in the field allows her to combine restorative dentistry, orthodontics, and surgical procedures to help patients of all ages breathe, sleep, eat, communicate, grow, and thrive. She is passionate about improving her patients’ overall health and is committed to providing them with the best care possible.

Committed To Excellence

Dr. Shannon is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in functional and airway dentistry through ongoing education. In fact, she completed over 500 continuing education hours to earn her fellowship, and has continued her education with an intensive 1000 hours in the field in recent years. This dedication allows her to provide her patients with the most current and effective treatments.
